I know you don’t hear from me often, maybe you like it that way (heh)– But I have some exciting news that of things I have been working on all summer! Everything is slowly starting to come together and I am so delighted that I will be able to send them out to you soon.

First:
BENEATH THE SKY RINGS AND OTHER TALES – is a short story collectiont that I have been working on for some time now. I commissioned a gorgeous cover from the fantastic Canadian artist Daniel Ignacio over a year ago. You can find his incredible art work at artstation. Check out the image that I sent him as a concept:

And then after a brief conversation…check out what he did with it!! (The text was added later by my friend Dalien, who is also awesome!)

Beneath the Sky Rings, Ajos of the Rattana discovers a new world beyond her imagining…

I am giddy-over-the-moon about this cover!!! And I am aiming to get this short story collection out by Sept 1st.

Second exciting news:
When Comes the Firetide: Part Three Fellingsigne – the final draft has been edited! It’s being given last looks. So I will beginning work on a cover for that soon! With careful planning (and a little luck) I can get Book 3 of Khes’s story out by the end of the year!!

Third Excitement:
I am in the process of reworking the website (bleugh) and trying to get a working BOOKSTORE on the site as well as a functioning newsletter! The bookstore will have (to start) the following Tybraes Cycles SHORT STORIES available for sale:

By the Rules
Cricket*
For Honor*
From Growth, Wisdom*
Lihaan*
The Duet Collection
Trials*

And all stories with an asterisk are collected and will be available to be bought together as The House Lihaan Collection. More stories will be forthcoming (already written, just need to be edited and processed). And all will be available to download as PDF or ePub. I also hope, in the future to eventually make my books available on my site as well. I may be adding some of my old, out of print books to this bookstore also such as Evergate and Chrysalis…but we’re starting small.

In the future the Bookstore may also become a Merch Store, and other things will become available. But again…starting small. I only just passed my marketing class. (heh)

I am so excited to bring all this news to you and I cannot wait to deliver all these goodies to you! To keep up to date on the news, you can follow this blog – lower right corner, I believe (until I get the newsletter working) – and you can find me on Threads and Instagram @its_carissastarr

Now let’s jump up and down and clap our hands in excitement! YAY!!!!
