The Duet Collection

Realm of Tybraes seal

From the fantasy world of Tybraes, this collection of love letters, poems, songs and prayers was consolidated into a collection and annotated by Keeper Elodis (written and edited by Carissa Starr). Starting with the love letters exchange “Duet”, much of this collection is written in Etharhia and Valkosa – with translations of course. Not only are there translations but also pronunciation guides. The annotations made by Keeper Elodis, one of the Ontax Keepers from the Viridian Cattedrale, are filled with historical and cultural context. Read for the beautiful use of Valkosa in a nursery rhyme about the triple moons of Tybraes. Delight in the dictated history of the first Tōk Samraat. Find serenity in Etharhia prayers of the ancient Seid faith of the Erahthi peoples. There is much here to absorb.

DUET  – in Etharhia then Valkosa
Haenis / Ferep

A love letter exchange from five years after The Felling between an Erahthi ambassador and scholar named Retil and the soldier of their affection, Mtek of the Ganroth. One can see here that the evolved Valkosa language is already in use in Mtek’s reply to Retil. The only true indication is the use of “Vud-Nasa”. The reference to Vudaa in the language was part of the linguistic evolution, as prior to The Felling, the “First Gods” were only myth and had not been made real. During The Felling, these gods (Vudaa, Rotta, Uvall, Fondroy) came alive to the Ganroth and their existence merged into their language, particularly Vudaa and Rotta.
